We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Planner to join one of our clients in the defence and nuclear sector. In this contract role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of complex projects by developing and maintaining project schedules.
Your responsibilities will include:

Scheduling Expertise: Utilising industry-standard programming/scheduling software, such as MS Project and MS Excel, to develop and maintain project schedules that align with project requirements, objectives, and constraints.

Collaboration: Collaborating closely with project managers and stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of project needs and resource availability, ensuring schedules are aligned with these factors.

Detailed Scheduling: Utilising scheduling software to create detailed project schedules, including task sequencing, dependencies, durations, and resource assignments.

Progress Monitoring: Monitoring and tracking project progress, regularly updating schedules to reflect actual progress, and promptly identifying deviations or delays.

Resource Management: Conducting resource planning and allocation to optimize the utilization of resources and identify potential conflicts.

Risk Mitigation: Collaborating with project teams to identify critical paths, potential bottlenecks, and areas of resource conflicts, and proposing effective solutions to mitigate risks and optimize project timelines.

Reporting and Communication: Generating reports and visualisations from scheduling software to effectively communicate project status, critical milestones, and resource allocation to stakeholders.

Schedule Refinement: Continuously evaluating and refining project schedules to accommodate changing priorities, scope adjustments, and fluctuations in resource availability.

Scenario Analysis: Conducting what-if scenarios and simulations to assess the impact of changes, delays, or resource constraints on project schedules, enabling proactive decision-making.

Facilitation: Facilitating schedule review meetings and discussions with project teams, stakeholders, and management, addressing schedule-related issues and proposing actionable solutions.
