As a leader within the UK nuclear industry, Cavendish Nuclear, part of Babcock International Group, provides a comprehensive range of critical nuclear solutions in clean energy, defence and civil new build and decommissioning projects. Together, they’re innovating to make nuclear safer, faster and cost-effective across the nuclear energy life cycle.

A number of exciting opportunities have come up to join the Civil, Structural and Architectural (CS&A) team within Cavendish Nuclear. The roles available at the moment are Senior CS&A Technician, Senior CS&A Engineer and Principal CS&A Engineer. As a member of their CS&A team, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. CS&A Engineers at Cavendish Nuclear support the UK’s nuclear decommissioning, power generation, new build and defence markets, with a proven track record in delivering exciting, complex and innovative solutions.

Day to day, you’ll be part of a dynamic team undertaking bespoke and innovative designs of reinforced concrete, steel and masonry structures across all aspects of the nuclear life cycle, from initial concept and scheme design, through engineering and detailed design and build, operations and maintenance, to decommissioning, waste management and remediation. This is particularly unique within a consultancy environment and what makes the projects and work so rewarding. The projects you undertake will often be in relation to structures and infrastructure associated with state-of-the-art mechanical handling equipment and their processes and electrical systems but can also involve stand-alone civil/structural tasks for a range of sectors, for example structural inspections and site surveys, and will be undertaken primarily for sites across UK with some projects based internationally.
