Position – Quality Manager
Type – Contract
Rate – Circa £65.00 per hour Umbrella Co 
Duration – 12 Months +
Hours – Typically 38 hours per week 
Determination – Inside IR35
Security – UK BPSS Security Clearance to be in place
Location – Risley, Warrington, Cheshire, UK / Hybrid (2/3 days office) 
Start Date – ASAP !

Key Responsibilities;  
Focussed on providing quality leadership across a business area.
1. Supports the Business Director by producing the quality strategy for their business area, gaining agreement and sponsorship from the senior management team and in alignment with the Cavendish Nuclear Quality Strategy
2. Provides coaching, advice and support at all levels of the business, ensuring successful delivery of quality plan(s) in line with agreed targets
3. Supports the SSHEQR Director and Senior Quality Manager in defining the business’ processes, plans for quality and proposes quality targets and agrees them with the organisation’s leadership
4. Supports the SSHEQR Director and Senior Quality Manager in ensuring that all stakeholder requirements are addressed by the BMS including legal, regulatory, Customer and shareholders and that the BMS is maintained and up-to-date
5. Defines the specific application of the organisation’s management system to a particular project or activity, including agreement to any tailoring
6. Prioritises quality management activities across their business area through effective deployment of risk and opportunity management tools and techniques
7. Provides advice and guidance to their business area on the flow down of quality requirements from Customers and other stakeholders through the supply chain 8. Supports the SSHEQR Director and Senior Quality Manager in the development of an appropriate range of performance measures and metrics for the organisation, including quality performance
9. Supports the SSHEQR Director and Senior Quality Manager in the definition and implementation of assurance activities for their business area, department or project, including supply chains and partnerships
10. Ensure that all Quality events are promptly investigated at the correct level, and that key lessons learned from events are identified and promulgated
11. Support the collation of reporting data for the Business Unit(s) 
12. Support the business winning process through input into or review of tender requirements
13. Leading Self: Is a role model, demonstrating Cavendish principles, promoting health, safety and wellbeing, respect and inclusion
14. Leading Others: Owns the performance and development of their team members, including effective and ongoing communication and feedback
15. Leading Resources: Responsible for effective planning and organisation of resources to deliver on customer promises

Experience/Qualifications/Skills  
Essential:

? Science/Engineering Degree (or equivalent qualification) plus experience

Desirable:
? Chartered member of the Quality Institute and registered on appropriate CPD scheme
? Approved Auditor qualification (or has demonstrable skills and track record)
? Have a proven track record preferably gained within a similar role in the Nuclear or other highly regulated high hazard industry
? Good working knowledge of the Nuclear industry
? Good working knowledge of all relevant quality standards and requirements
? Good working knowledge of the Customers quality requirements where appropriate
? Good working knowledge and application of ISO9001 (and ISO17025 where relevant)
? Ability to investigate events using industry best-practice causal analysis tools
