Rate – Circa £29.07 per hour OR PAYE equivalent (DOE)
Duration – 6 Months +
Hours – Typically 38 hours per week
Determination – Inside IR35
Security – UK BPSS Security Clearance to be in place

Role description / task:

• Work with the cross-functional delivery team personnel, helping to achieve delivery milestones and ensuring a fit for purpose / quality product to the customer.
• Ensure final product quality documentation packs are to specification, rectifying any problems in a timely manner.
• Inspect goods inwards, checking the actual items for their critical dimensions / characteristics, and ensuring documentation is correct.
• Risk manage project activities, ensuring mitigation in the critical aspects of production and in the final product.
• Carry out quality audits during the project lifecycle, ensuring process / procedure adherence, and the product is being realised in the appropriate manner.
• Ensure final product quality documentation packs are to specification, rectifying any problems in a timely manner.
• Undertake investigations and recommending/leading improvement actions because of significant discrepancy, complaint, process failing or trended under-performance.
• Review and approval of Quality related documents both internally and from the supply chain as required e.g. configuration management plans, supplier quality plans etc.

Required Experience /Qualification /Attributes:

• Have a quality background in a related industry and be familiar with the qualities levels and disciplines required.
• Experience of implementing quality improvements and encouraging culture change within an organisation.
• Computer literate with good keyboard skills and understanding of MS Office applications
• Will have an excellent working knowledge of quality tools and problem solving techniques, and be able to provide guidance to others in the use of them (e.g. Pareto, FMEA, 5 why’s, 8D, etc.)
• Self-motivated, and can work within a group or individually
• ONC, HNC, NVQ Level 3 qualification in an quality, science, engineering discipline
• Good time management skills
• Knowledge continuous improvement tools and can show examples of how they have implemented them in previous situations.
• Have a flexible approach to the workload
• Driving licence
• Review technical documentation, with good eye for detail.
• Self-motivated, and can work within a group or individually
• Understand engineering drawings, procedures and specifications of all disciplines.
