Length – 9 week contract (18th April – 27th June)
Working hours per week – 72 hours per week / 12 hours day and night shifts are available

Role description:
Great opportunity for an Electrical Technician looking to work on a prestigious energy project at Heysham B. This is a short term contract to support a specific scope of work.
You will be working within a combined Cavendish Nuclear /EDF team.
The Current work window is as follows and both 12hr day and night shifts are available (18th April – 27th June )
Principal Tasks and Responsibilities:
- The main purpose of the role is to undertake electrical installation, commissioning and maintenance activities in accordance with best practice and legal standards.
- You will be working on a specific piece of plant that will be dismantled, repaired and re-built through the duration of the contract.
- The role will involve disconnecting and re-connecting electrical cabling through different stages of the project.
- Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to; participation in planning and preparation of works, ensure health & safety standards are met, carrying out work in accordance to the work plan.
- To carry out work in accordance with the work packs and best practice and applicable trade/legal standards.
- To comply with any health and safety requirements of the work pack or work area.
- To carry out safety and behavioural observation.
- To comply with quality requirements of the work pack.
- To not proceed past a hold point.
- To report any defects, damage, safety hazards or other problems to their line manager.
Academic Requirements Experience requirements:
- Level 3 Qualification (e.g. Recognised Training Scheme or Apprenticeship) appropriate to their trade.
- BS7671 18TH Edition
- CCNSG Safety Passport.
- Site Installation/Maintenance experience in Nuclear Industry/Power Generation.
- CTC security clearance required
- Previous experience on an EDF station is preferred.
- Test & Inspection experience preferred.
