Materials Planner
JOB POSTING
The Supply Planner is responsible for ensuring material purchasing, material planning and production planning are optimised to enable production to operate efficiently. You will resolve material related fulfilment issues throughout the supply chain, as well as ensuring inventory errors or demand changes are mitigated and resolved accordingly. You are the liaison of cross functions and internal stakeholders, such as planning, sourcing, logistics, finance, operations, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive customer delivery performance to supply both internal and external customers
• Ensure SIOP plans are accurate and adhered to for near, mid and long term
• Help to develop Supply Plans for production areas, both unconstrained, and by understanding resource and material challenges causing constraints to output
• Ensure timely material ordering (internal stock orders / external supplier purchases) and management of schedule changes
• Optimize inventory across multiple stocking locations
• Manage plan for every part (PFEP). Ensure corresponding ERP data accuracy of item master parameters / settings
• Provide data and analysis to both solve material related problems and drive continuous process improvement.
JOB ACTIVITIES
YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor degree or similar experience
• Experience in either Planning or Procurement environments
• Knowledge or ERP/MRP systems
• Experience in manufacturing planning
• Experience with MRP/ERP Systems
• Ability to lead process improvement
• Knowledge or experience of Six Sigma or lean
• Ability to work independently and take direction from others
• Established skills and experience in Materials management
Pay rate – £14.87 p/h (this will increase to £15.15 p/h after 12 successful weeks have been completed for AWR)
Hours – Mon – Thur: 8am – 4.30pm, Fri: 8am – 12.30pm
Length – at least 12 months for the right candidate
