An opportunity has arisen for a mixed-signal design engineer to work in the IC design team for a global leading Aerospace and Defence company. Applicants will have strong analogue / mixed signal IC design skills based on formal qualification and several years’ experience gained from working on complex IC designs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Key Responsibility Areas

• To work to design specifications
• To complete mixed signal design and development tasks
• To generate and complete rigorous design verification tasks
• To generate and capture verification evidence
• To work to design processes and procedures
• To complete design validation from manufactured samples
• To accurately prepare technical documentation
• Customer facing experience advantageous  

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Recognised degree (or higher) in Electronics Engineering or Physics with Electronics
• IT / unix literate, able to use industry standard IC design tools (Cadence preferred) for schematic design, simulation, physical layout and verification
• CMOS technology and foundry process knowledge
• To complete complex analysis, modelling and problem solving
• To work to specifications and program schedules

DESIRABLE 

• Appreciation of silicon device ‘tape out’ process
• CMOS technology and foundry process knowledge
• Analogue micro-electronics knowledge
• Laboratory test and measurement
• Language skills: Verilog/Verilog-A, VHDL, Matlab, Labview, etc.
